It depends on the model. Our compressor-equipped tub is built to cool below freezing and is winterized to -20F, making it one of the most powerful options in our collection. The chiller-compatible models rely on an external chiller unit or ice to reach your target temperature, giving you flexibility based on your setup and budget.
Both options are available here. The 195-gallon and 248-gallon tubs are designed to be used with a compatible water chiller, which you can pair based on your preferred water temperature range. If you want cooling built right in, the compressor model includes its own ice-making system and ozone disinfection so you can plunge without any additional equipment.
Water sanitation is a real consideration with cold plunge tubs, and our products address it in different ways. The compressor model features built-in ozone disinfection, which works by cycling ozone through the water to help keep it clean. For other models, following a regular water change schedule and using compatible sanitation additives is the recommended approach.
